ABOUT S.Y.STEM COALITION

S.Y.STEM Coalition is a non-profit local to Tucson, Arizona. With recent cuts in education, along with Arizona's ranking of third-worst in the nation of Americans who live below the poverty line, S.Y.STEM has stepped up to the plate to fix the problem, and remove the bandaid that is all too prevalent in our society. EDUCATE THE CHILDREN. S.Y.STEM has multiple programs that offer children k-12 grade opportunities to engage in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. While these (along with English) are probably the most hated classes in school, S.Y.STEM is succeeding in showing the school age members of society that being a Mathematics Graduate student may help cure cancer one day, that being an engineer can help develop faster, cooler planes with some pretty sick seats (check out the Emirates airline, cabin spaces designed by engineers at BE Aerospace), and that Technology along with Math skills have helped in creating some of the coolest video games, some of which are now interactive! With every young mind they can help become interested in STEM fields, the closer Tucson, Arizona, and the United States comes to overcoming the issues surrounding poverty, hunger, and crime. 

 

Also, this small organization is run mostly by females, who aren't as noticed in the STEM fields. Way to go ladies!

HOW WE GIVE BACK

I'm a firm believer that you get what you give back, but that's not why we do it. We donate because Casero By Cindy believes it is what is right.
