Engaging Title About Origami
Being a little on the far side of broke can make you do crazy things. Being too lazy to go to the store can have the same effect. Somehow I manage to convince myself that if I can do it in my office, then it never really happened. Yet, I can somehow be really proud of myself for doing said activity... when I think I did... nothing? Anyway, Look what I made!
It's an origami pill box! Yes, I was that bored, and yes, I would rather spend an hour making something with paper, than just buying it for $2 at Walgreens. See the problem with going to Walgreens is that I end up buying half of Walgreens and then all of the sudden we are on a $300 shopping trip to Target. I say we because the amount spent is embarassing, and I have no idea how "we" ended up at Target but I'm starting to think it's the safe place my inner child wants to run away to. There could be worse places.
Isn't this thing cute? It was pretty easy to make, and my favorite part is always that things you make yourself are customizable! The only snafu I came across was trying to shove 7 days worth of tiny boxes into the larger box. My hypothesis is that using scrapbook paper for the "box" and card stock for the "tiny boxes" does not make for a good fit. I'll have to test this again next time!
If you want to make one yourself check out this awesome origami site that I found! The video included on their page makes it look easy. And watch how the folder folds the paper. I got caught up in that. Too excited for a happy place for pills I suppose.
This is what the website's looks like.
And this is mine... I promise I learned from my mistakes and the next one will be amazing!
I can make one for you too, if you are into that sort of thing. Send me a message. :)
